The Formation of Architectural Originality of Votkinsk City-Plant
Abstract
The paper considers the formation of architectural image of Votkinsk city-plant by the 20th century. Votkinsk foundation is connected with the development of the Russian industry in the 18th century. Late in the 19th century, in the period of prosperity, Votkinsk plant was one of the advanced metallurgical plants of the Urals. Now Votkinsk’s production function is not only its formation but also the unique line of historical appearance formed by 1917. By the modern classification, Votkinsk relates to monotowns. The research methodology suggested in the paper can be use to identify the unique image of other historical cities of the country.
