TECHNOLOGY AND HIGH-EFFICIENT EQUIPMENT FOR IRON AND MANGANESE REMOVAL FROM LOW-MINERALIZED GROUNDWATER

Abstract

The paper presents the technology and equipment for the high-quality drinking water obtained from natural sources high in iron and manganese or under conditions requiring the water resource operation in the autonomous mode. One of variants of wasteless water treatment is considered using small-scale modular stations for natural water iron elimination. Ceramics can be used as a filtering material obtained from water treatment wastes. This approach allows the waste utilization produced by iron elimination stations and organize water supply to regions without it.
