Geocomplex-Based Territory Differentiation for Road Design

Abstract

The paper presents methodical aspects of road zoning in zone - subzone - road district taxonomic system. The formation principles of the data base are considered including the zonal, intrazonal and regional geocomplexes. On the example of the Tyumen region, the sequential modeling using geocomplex elements is described when establishing the boundaries of territorial location of zone, subzone, and road district taxonomic units. The obtained results on zoning are compared with standard recommendations as well as with other authors’ proposals.
