Mathematical Modelling of Road Pavement Shear-Resistance

Abstract

The paper discusses the results of mathematical modeling of shear resistance of asphalt-concrete materials with regard to the ratio between the mineral aggregate components and their grain shape, and the dependence between viscosity of asphalt binder and stresses arising from traffic loads during the pavement operation. The mathematical simulation of this process provides the most efficient selection of asphalt-concrete mixes and their further testing in accordance with regulatory requirements.
