Vehicle/Span System Oscillation at Coincident Centre of Mass and Stiffness

Abstract

The paper deals with the dynamic characteristics of composite bridge span structures with regard for the pavement defects. The dependence between the composite beam deflection and the stiffness of the vehicle suspension and its weight is determined using the equations of free and forced oscillations. The dependence is obtained provided that the centre of mass and stiffness coincide in the centre of the system stiffness.
