Water Repellency of Mineral Powder at its Activation by Different Water Repellents

Abstract

The paper presents the methodology of detection the degree of water repellency of two mineral powders of various manufacturers activated by four water repellents. This methodology is based on foamy flotation and allows obtaining a quantity indicator of water repellency on the mineral powder surface that can provide its more efficient practical application for the definition of the optimum use of water repellents.
