STRUCTURES WITH PREFORMED CRACKS

Abstract

The paper is dealt with the study of deformations of precracked concrete and reinforced concrete structures such as slabs and beams, induced by short- and long-term loads. A study of preckracked structures allows creating new trends in concrete development. Preckracking modifies the structural behavior, namely: beam deflections decrease twice or higher, the period of the load resistance increases.
