Author Guidelines

The article will be considered by the editorial board and reviewed only in case of meeting the following requirements:

Manuscript is sent to the editorial office in electronic form. The file with the article loaded in the system should be presented in Microsoft Word format (extension * .doc, * .docx, * .rtf).

  • The article size should not exceed 15 printed pages (page format A4), including illustrations, reference list and authors’ affiliations);
  • Content of the files on CD should fully correspond to printed variant;
  • Text format: single spacing, font: Times New Roman, font size: 11 pt., color: black. Color images and tables must be converted to gray scale mode;
  • Margin size: left – 2 cm., right – 5.9 cm., top – 3.5 cm., bottom – 5.5 cm. The space from margin to header is 2.5 cm, the space from margin to page footing is 1,5 cm.
  • Text should be emphasized ONLY in italics or boldface letters, but NOT with underscores. All duplicate spaces and extra line breaks should be removed (in the automatic mode via Microsoft Word service "find and replace").
  • UDC
  • Each author’s information should include full name, academic degrees and titles, affiliations, phone number, e-mail address.
  • Title of the article should be aligned “flush left” and written in capital letters.
  • The title is followed by abstract containing the main content of the article, purpose of the research, the applied methods, principal results and major conclusions.

The abstract should be structured and contain relevance, purpose, materials and methods, results, conclusions. It is given after the publication title up to 0.25 pages (not less than 500 symbols). The abstract should not contain references and little-known or unknown abbreviations

Keywords( 5–10) follow the abstract and reflect the main ideas and relevance of research. Keywords are built from the general to the particular, are separated by a semicolon, their number should be from. English keywords should match Russian.

References are given at the end of the article ordered in conformity with their mentioning. References are given in square brackets. It is recommended to give at least 10 items for scientific articles published first of all, in peer-reviewed scientific journals over the past 5 years. Inclusion of foreign sources in references is mandatory (not less than 50-70%). The number of cited literature should vary from 15 to 30 references (in the review article this number is higher). References are made in accordance with GOST 7.1-2003. The reference to the electronic source should include the authors’ full name, article title and the journal name, output data of the issue, URL address and the date of its last visiting.

The editorial board will be grateful to the authors if they include a short statement on the obtained results in the section "Conclusions" for the expert assessment of the article submitted.

Information about sponsorship. It is necessary to indicate the source of funding for both the scientific work and the publication process of the article (fund, commercial or state organization, private person, etc.). The amount of funding is not required.

Acknowledgements. The authors can express their gratitude to people and organizations that contributed to the research.

Tables should be placed in the text with a numbered heading and clearly marked columns convenient and understandable for reading. The data must correspond to the figures in the text, but should not duplicate information presented in it. References to tables in the text are obligatory.

Figures (graphs, diagrams, and other illustrations, drawn in MS Office) should be grouped. Photos, screenshots and other illustrations should have 300 dpi resolution. All figures should be explicit  and clear. The graphic material should have minimum amount (except for works where this is justified by the nature of the study). Each figure should be placed in the text and accompanied by a numbered caption. References to figures in the text are obligatory.

Compliance with ethical standards. All papers must correspond to generally accepted ethical principles and comply with all ethical norms.

Accompanying documents. When submitting a manuscript to the editorial staff, it is necessary to additionally upload files containing scanned images of filled and certified accompanying documents (in * .pdf format). The accompanying documents include a cover letter from the author's place of work with the seal and signature of the head of the organization as well as signatures of co-authors (for each organization specified in the manuscript, a separate covering letter must be provided).

Filling in on-line form. For a successful paper indexation in Russian and international databases , it is necessary to enter its metadata in detail when submitting a manuscript to the editorial staff via the online form. Some of metadata must be entered separately in Russian and English, namely: the name of institution in which authors work, detailed information on the place of work and position, the paper title, the abstract, keywords, and name of sponsoring organization.

Additional data should be sent as separate files to the editor together with the paper immediately after its downloading. Additional files include accompanying documents, source data (if authors wish to submit them for review or by reviewers’ request). Before sending, please, enter a description of each file to be sent.

Completion of manuscript sending. After downloading the additional materials, please, check the list of sent files and complete the process of paper sending. After the completion of paper sending (7 days), the author will be informed on the paper submission on the indicated e-mail address (absence of the letter confirms non-receiving the manuscript). The author can contact the editorial staff (editor or reviewers) at any time and track the manuscript processing stage through his personal cabinet.

Requirements for the English-language part of the manuscript

Transliteration from the Russian language into the Latin alphabet is performed on site http://en.translit.net only using the BSI system of the US State Department.

After the keywords in Russian, a list of author(s) in English is given without a middle name (e.g. Sergei I. Ivanov). Then, through a comma, academic degree of PhD or DSc for, respectively, candidate or doctor of sciences, without indicating the scientific field, and titles of A/Professor or Professor.

Article title. The English-language name should be literate from the point of view of the English language, and in this sense fully correspond to the Russian-language name. The title should contain no more than 10 words for the purpose of readability and citation. Avoid using any abbreviations and abbreviations. The point after the title is NOT placed.

The English version of the article's annotation should, according to the meaning and structure, fully correspond to the Russian language and be literate in terms of English. The volume of the resume is at least 300 words.

Keywords (Keywords). Keywords and phrases in English should be known to foreign colleagues. Key words and phrases are separated by a semicolon. In the key words it is inadmissible to use any abbreviations and abbreviations; it is desirable to avoid the use of prepositions and articles.

References. It is given at the end of the article after the list in Russian. The order of the description components:

- the transliterated surnames of ALL authors are taken to the first place, the comma after the surname is not put;

- special separators are removed (//, -, /);

- after the transliteration of the title in square brackets, the title of the article is translated in English;

- No. No. changes;

- the designations of the pages vary: S. on Pp .; from. on p .;

- the source name is in English (if available), if not - transliteration;

- at the end of each link we write (rus), if the source is in Russian.

In the description of patents, proceedings and conference proceedings, etc., all the names of authors are taken to the first place, WITHOUT REPETITION.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one line spacing, font Times New Roman, 12 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).
  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.
