Genesis of Sustainable Architecture: From Passive to Active House

Abstract

The paper presents four levels of sustainable architectural objects based on systematization of empirical material according to their time of appearance and impact on the architectural style. The identification of sustainable architecture with technological characteristics of objects is eliminated. Passive houses are considered as the initial form of the implementation of the sustainable architecture concept, the distinctive features of smart house systems are shown, the characteristics of self-contained buildings are identified. In the final part, the active house is analyzed as the most modern type of objects of sustainable architecture. Information about technological and engineering parameters of buildings is systemized in this paper, and the impact of stable standards and properties on the architectural style and its aesthetic and art advantages is shown.
