<trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
The article explores the historical experience of climate responsive architecture in Yemen. The relevance of energy-efficient residential buildings for hot-dry regions in particular, and for all regions in general, is discussed in the article. Regional classification of architecture of Yemen is analyzed. Architectural planning solutions are discussed for residential buildings in Yemen based on the topography.
